My Go To Smoothie

A brain fueling, skin loving, satiating smoothie that I make on the daily. [you will soon realise I am a creature of habit]


Perfect for breakfast, lunch, dinner (no judgement here) or an afternoon snack/post workout pick me up; I love smoothies for their ease, the ability to make them taste so different on the daily as to never get bored, and all the added goodness you can smack into them.


TIP: Adding a good source of healthy fats and protein will ensure the smoothie you make leaves you feeling satiated until your next meal, even if it is as simple as; banana, ice, protein powder, nut butter and some rolled oats if you fancy, ensuring you have appropriate sources of healthy fat and protein will make instrumental differences.


Absolutely stocked to the brim with healthy fats, proteins and CHO, alongside all those delectable antioxidants and fibre; give this a go and prepare to fall absolutely in loveeee.

RECIPE:

*Frozen Blueberries ½ Cup

*Frozen Zucchini ½

*Avocado ¼

*Spinach big handful

*Grated ginger

*Psyllium Husk 1tsp

*Hemp and Flaxseeds Mix (a blend I make myself) 1-2tbsp

*Sprinkle of Cinnamon

*Big Dollop of nut butter OR coconut yoghurt

*Complete Source of plant protein (I love my Nutra Organics Choc Protein) 30g


X BLEND WITH A DASH OF WATER/COCONUT WATER/MILK IF DESIRED. I like mine thick, add more/less to suit your preference.


Optional Additions; Medjool Dates if you like a little sweeter, Cacao if you like it a little bitter, Chia Seeds for some added Omega 3's and protein, and some activated buckinis/cacao nibs for some crunch. *texture always*


Following this smoothie formula, even if you swap berries for mango, zucchini for cauliflower, avocado for banana, you are guaranteed to fill satisfied and nourished. Enjoy, you are welcome.
